Welcome to my dedicated Sound Portfolio. This is where you can experience standalone audio examples of my sound design and composition work. To fully appreciate the intricate detail, atmosphere, and impact of these pieces, listening with headphones is highly recommended.
Explore the tracks below to hear examples showcasing my approach to creating immersive audio for visual media and games, with a particular focus on the Sci-Fi and Horror genres.
This particular set of five audio examples demonstrates a specific sound design experiment where the primary source material for all sounds was a single instrument: the trombone.
Through various processing and manipulation techniques, I’ve transformed the raw character of this brass instrument into a range of distinct sound effects. Listen to how the trombone has been re-imagined to create sounds such as a “motor in motion,” a “shard slow run,” and other unique textures, showcasing the potential for creative transformation in sound design.
This section presents another collection of sound effects where a single instrument serves as the source material – the saxophone. I’ve taken the unique tonal qualities and characteristics of the saxophone and, through creative processing and manipulation, sculpted them into a variety of distinct sound design elements.
Listen to this collection to hear how the saxophone’s voice has been re-imagined to create unexpected textures and effects, showcasing further possibilities in transforming unconventional sources into compelling audio assets.
Continuing the journey of transforming traditional instruments into unconventional sound design, this section features effects derived solely from the piano. By isolating and processing the inherent sounds of the instrument – from hammer strikes to vibrating strings and resonances – I’ve sculpted a range of abstract and impactful sound effects.
Explore these examples to hear the piano re-imagined in unexpected ways, showcasing the depth of sonic possibilities hidden within familiar instruments and their components.
Beyond designed effects and music, Foley is the essential craft that grounds visual action in realism. Foley involves creating and recording everyday sounds – such as footsteps, clothing movement, and prop interactions – in sync with picture to enhance the audio track.
This section showcases examples of my Foley work, highlighting the meticulous attention to detail required to make characters and objects sound believable and present within their environment. Listen closely to hear the subtle yet crucial sounds that add texture, depth, and a sense of reality to the visual narrative.
